Ulthera Eyelid Lift in Beverly Hills, CA

Serving Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and surrounding areas

Ultherapy is a new type of nonsurgical procedure that uses ultrasound energy for non-surgical lifting, tightening and firming of lax skin. Ultherapy works deep below the surface —without harming the outer layer of skin—for firming, tightening and lifting. The skin’s response to the ultrasound energy is to stimulate the growth of new collagen.

Dr. Moradzadeh has had excellent success using Ultherapy to treat the eyes — specifically to tighten and smooth lower eyelid skin, soften crows feet, lift the upper browand reduce upper eyelid sagging. It’s also an effective procedure for addressing mild to moderate upper lid laxity or skin excess, especially if it’s caused by mild brow ptosis (sagging of the eyebrows).

In traditional ultrasound the waves are non-focused, which means they travel in a straight line directly out from the source. By contrast, Ultherapy uses targeted ultrasound that focuses the ultrasound waves down to a focal point, creating a microthermal coagulation zone that precisely heats the tissue to cause contraction and tightening of the collagen in the skin. Ultherapy is the only non-invasive device that treats the SMAS layer, which is the tissue targeted with neck lift and face lift surgery.

The side effects of the treatment are minimal. In some patients, it can be mildly painful, though most people don’t feel anything more than a tingling sensation when treating the region around the eyes. Some patients can get some swelling and redness after the procedure, which resolves within a day or two.

After a consultation and examination, Dr. Moradzadeh can advise you if this treatment approach is appropriate for the results you are trying to achieve. Dr. Moradzadeh performs all Ultherapy treatments in his Beverly Hills and Santa Barbara office himself. He is an early adopter of this treatment and has extensive experience in its application — and has achieved excellent results for patients.
